Bach Flowers and Your Body

Did you know you can support negative emotions by using flower essences?

What are these essences and how are they used? I'm glad you asked! Let's dive in!

In the early 1900s, a highly qualified Harley Street physician (also bacteriologist, homeopath, and
surgeon) by the name of Edward Bach made the discovery that flowers can improve mental health.

By taking certain flowers and adding them to water, then setting it in the sun or boiling on the stove, it creates the flower essence. This essence, when taken correctly, can act as a non-invasive, natural remedy to address self help and self awareness. By supporting the emotions of the body, harmony is produced which enables the
body's own natural healing processes to take place.

Bach Flower Remedies are simple yet effective, safe, non-toxic, non-addictive, gluten free, and do not interact with medications. They are suitable for all ages, used in over 70 countries, and have been used for over 90 years.

There are 38 remedies that are divided into 7 groups. Each remedy helps a more specific problem but the 7 groups are as listed:

  • Fear
  • Uncertainty
  • Loneliness
  • Lack of Interest
  • Over-Sensitivity
  • Despair
  • Over-care for the Welfare of Others

The Rescue Remedy can be used in a case of emergency, such as trauma or public speaking. A personalized remedy can be used as a daily supplement to address long-standing issues.

Some examples of the 38 remedies:

  • Cherry Plum: Fear of losing control
  • Olive: Lack of Energy
  • Elm: Overwhelmed
  • Crab Apple: Poor Self Image
  • Gorse: Hopelessness

Ultimately, unhealed negative emotions will take toll on your physical health. It is important not to overlook or ignore these feelings. If you are experiencing uncontrollable, negative emotions, it might be time to try something new!
